Here's the deal: We figure out your sick pay based on how many hours you're supposed to work each day. Easy peasy! We take your total weekly work hours and divide them by the number of days you work in a week (which is 5 for most of us).
For example, if you're a full-timer rocking 40 hours a week:
40 hours ÷ 5 days = 8 hours per sick day!
Now, some important points to keep in mind:
We're doing the math based on a 5-day work week.
If you're feeling under the weather, make sure to hand in a sick note from day one.
Only the approved sick leaves (whether on paper or electronic) will get you paid.
You're looking at a max of 5 paid absence days per week.
Quick tip: If you're a Minijobber or a Working Student, keep your eyes on those contractual working hours. Going over them might mean tweaks to your vacation and sick payments. So, imagine this: if your student gig is for 12 hours a week and you hit that mark, taking extra days off might not get you extra cash. We can't pay you for more than you've agreed to work with Flink.
Stay healthy, stay paid, and let's keep things smooth! 🌟💼
