Why did I receive less money than expected?

If you think you have received less pay than what you expected, and you believe there are some issues or discrepancies, please consider the following aspects before reaching out to us:

  • Check your payslips carefully.

  • Check if all of your shifts were punched in and attested to in Quinyx.

    • Any help in attesting your shifts can be done by contacting your Hub Manager.

  • Always review the tax breakdown portion in your payslip (Steuerklasse is information regarding tax classes). Employees in Germany are required by law to pay taxes (Lohnsteuer) and social security contributions.

  • Mini Jobbers are also required by law to pay pension insurance, but they have a possibility of being exempted. If you are a Mini Jobber and want to be exempted from pension insurance, you must fill out the form named "Antrag auf Befreiung von der Rentenversicherungspflicht" which is an application form for the exemption of pension insurance. This form can be downloaded from this website.

  • Check if all your break times were punched correctly. According to German law, employees are required to take a 30-minute break after 6 hours of work and a 45-minute break after 9 hours of work.

    • This means that whenever you work more than 6 or 9 hours, Quinyx will automatically deduct 30 or 45 minutes of break time, if you do not punch your breaks. We kindly ask you to punch your break time once it starts and ends.

Once these areas are thoroughly evaluated and if your issues still remain, you should report this to us via Workforce app:

  1. On the top-left, go to the hamburger menu.

  2. Go to Support > Get Help.

  3. Go to Payslip & salary.

  4. Select My salary is not correct.

  5. Follow the process on the screen.
