Winter safety guide

Hub

  • To ensure that the street/area in front of the hub is safe, please make sure that it's regularly cleared from snow and ice.

  • Every bike brings its own set of hardware. Please make sure that every Rider receives a bike-specific introduction, as well as making sure that the light, tires and brakes are checked before the start of every shift.

Bikes

In order to have more grip on the streets with your bike, deflate the tires a tiny bit. Your ride will be smoother and safer.

Riding

  • Since it is getting dark early, please keep in mind that you should only ride with a working bike light.

  • Please take care when braking before you make turns, especially when it has snowed or roads are icy.

  • Please keep a distance of more than double between other bikes and cars around you and in traffic.

  • Ride slowly! Don't use the bikes full potential and use the brake as early as possible.

Riders

  • To have more grip on the pedals, please use solid winter shoes for riding.

  • Your winter jacket has reflective panels to keep you visible in the dark. Please remember to wear it.
