đ Feature Spotlight: Battery Count is LIVE!
Following the successful launch of the Battery Count feature last week, weâve seen excellent initial results. To maintain this momentum, we are now requiring all hubs to transition to this new method
Why the change matters
Maintaining an accurate battery inventory isn't just about counting boxes; itâs about operational health. The new HubOne integration solves:
Maintenance Visibility: Broken batteries are flagged and outbounded for repair instantly, not forgotten in a corner.
Accountability: Full visibility on who completed the count and when, making handovers seamless.
Post-Launch Pulse Check
The early results are in, and the feedback has been fantastic! Most hubs are finding the scanning process much more intuitive. However, to make this data work for the whole network, we need 100% participation.
Attention: Hubs with Pending Counts
Weâve noticed some Hubs haven't kicked off their first count yet, or started but didn't quite finish.
Has your Hub started yet?

Stuck? Weâre here to help. If youâve hit a technical snag or the "Smart Validation" is giving you a headache, don't just close the app! Please flag it immediately in your Cluster Equipment/Fleet Channel. We need your feedback to keep the tool sharp.
Pro-Tips for a Perfect Count
Scan as you go: Use the Real-Time Management feature to update battery statuses (like "Non-functional") before you start the big weekly count.
Explain the missing: If the app expects a battery that isn't there, use the "Stolen" or "Repair" tags, this keeps our data clean.
Check the Deck: If you need a refresher on the UI, check the [Detailed Slide Deck Here].
Happy Counting!

đ± HubOne Update: A Cleaner, Smarter Inventory Tab - Live Wednesday 11th
Weâve redesigned the Inventory Tab to help you navigate your shift more efficiently. Instead of scrolling through a long list, HubOne now prioritises your work based on urgency.
Whatâs New?
The layout is now divided into three clear sections so you always know what to tackle first:
Pinned Tasks: Your most-used tools, like Restocking and Stock Correction, are now pinned right at the top for instant access.
Open Tasks: This section only appears when time-sensitive actions are needed (e.g., Freshness Checks or the new Battery Count). A notification badge will show exactly how many actions are pending.
Support Tasks: Important recurring tasks that aren't time-sensitive, such as the Rescue Bag Builder and Battery Management, have their own dedicated home at the bottom.
Why Youâll Love It
Less Clutter: If there are no urgent checks due, the "Open Tasks" section stays hidden, keeping your screen clean.
Better Focus: The notification numbers tell you exactly where your attention is needed most.
Consistency: Whether you are building rescue bags or managing batteries, every tool is now exactly where you expect it to be.
From Wednesday, take a second to explore the new layout, itâs designed to make your daily workflow smoother than ever!

đ Dispatching Update: Pre-Picking at Shift Start
What
The dispatching system now anticipates upcoming rider shifts and pre-picks a first order before the rider has punched in, so a trip is ready the moment they arrive.
Riders are assigned the median vehicle size for their hub until they register their actual vehicle.
If a rider doesn't show up within 15 minutes of their shift start, they are removed from the pool and the pre-picked order is reassigned.
Riders are also now assigned to trips in the backlog, stabilising backlog time estimates and limiting trip swapping.
Why
Riders experienced ~10 minutes of idle time at the start of each shift while waiting for their first order to be picked and packed.
The previous dispatching logic didn't release an order to the picking team until after a rider had punched in and been assigned a vehicle, creating an unnecessary bottleneck.
This idle time directly increased rider cost per order (rCPO) and reduced operational efficiency.
Expected Impact
Estimated ~2-minute reduction in initial idle time per shift.
Once a rider is online, they should be ready to receive orders, and not be preparing for the shift.
âOrder Notification Frequency Update
To improve system stability and streamline the flow of incoming tasks, we are updating the refresh rate for order notifications.
Change: Notification frequency is moving from 3 seconds to 15 seconds.
Effective Date: Immediately.
What this means for you: This update reduces the "noise" of constant alerts while ensuring that all orders are still captured and displayed accurately. Please continue to monitor your screens as usual; the 15-second interval provides a more consistent pace for processing incoming orders during peak times.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our operations running smoothly!
