đ New Feature: Battery Count - LIVE Wednesday 4th
We are excited to announce a major update to how we manage our battery inventory! Say goodbye to jumping between different forms and spreadsheets. We are integrating the Battery Count directly into the HubOne app to make your weekly tasks smoother, faster, and more reliable.
Why the Change?
Until now, our battery counts were scattered across Zendesk, Google Forms, and Airtable. This often led to:
Inconsistent Data: Different totals are being reported week-to-week without a clear reason.
Maintenance Gaps: Broken batteries sometimes went unreported because they required a completely separate process.
By moving everything into HubOne, we create a single source of truth.
Whatâs New for You?
The new system combines daily management with your weekly count in one place:
Real-Time Management: You can now add new batteries, update non-functional statuses, and outbound batteries for repair as it happens.
Scheduled Weekly Counts: Once a week, you'll see a 'pending' count in your Inventory Tab. Just scan every battery in your hub to complete it.
Smart Validation: If the app expects a battery to be there and itâs missing, it will ask you for a reason (like "Stolen" or "Repair") to ensure our data stays accurate.
Full Visibility: Anyone in the hub can now see exactly who completed the last count, when it was done, and how many batteries were confirmed.
How to Get Started
When your next count is scheduled, just follow these simple steps:
Open the Inventory Tab in HubOne.
Scan your batteries one by one to add them to the count.
Adjust statuses if a battery has become non-functional.
Confirm stock and outbound any missing items.

đȘ« Battery Management Update: Non-Functional Damage Reasons
Another small but important update for battery management, when marking a battery non-functional, you will now have the option to specify the damage reason, including the asked-for âNo QR code / no barcodeâ option. You wonât need to add the reasons for batteries, which were marked as non-functional before this update.
Another step in improving hub/fleet operations!
