🔑 Key updates you can’t miss

🚲 Trip Time Difference — A fairer way to measure rider performance — Live tomorrow!

As introduced last week, our new rider performance metric, Trip Time Difference, goes live tomorrow. 🚀

⚠️ Please make sure your team and riders are aware of these changes.

📲 A WF App update will be required on Wednesday - please check your riders update the app.

📊 Check your riders are completing the mandatory edume guide (filter for course name: “Trip Time Difference”) here.

Why the change?

Riders and hubs felt the old metric was unfair. It relied on often-inaccurate Google ETAs, making it hard to be on time, and sometimes pushed riders to swipe early just to hit a target — adding pressure while riding.

What’s new?

  • End-to-end tracking: performance is now based on the total trip time (from trip offer to hub return) compared to the estimate — individual segments are no longer counted as KPIs.

  • Fairer comparisons: instead of a strict pass/fail for being “on time,” performance is compared to the hub average.

  • Calmer, safer riding: the on-time tracker is gone during riding, so riders can focus on the road and the customer.

How will it work?

Trip Time Difference is the difference between the actual trip (from trip offer made to swiping returned) and the estimate (the Google estimate + hub benchmark). Below you can see how it’s made up of different segments.

During the trip: on-time trackers removed, larger buttons.

Live performance is visible after each trip and during the shift.

Weekly performance — riders see it in the Stats tab their performance compared to the Hub Average.

Please note that we unfortunately have to move shelf changes to Thursday this week due to an unforeseen technical issue. We will keep the shelf change on Thursday as small as possible. They will be shared Thursday in de_ops_.
