New “Neighbour” Flyer Distribution

Over the next two weeks, most hubs will receive Neighbour flyers for offline distribution. These flyers are part of a targeted growth initiative aimed at increasing adoption in outer turfs (25–27).

What are Neighbour Flyers?

  • They will be for orders placed in turfs 25–27, labeled as a free SKU (TBD the exact number) with the name Neighbour flyer.

  • Important: These flyers are not for the customer who placed the order, but for the mailboxes in the building where the order is delivered.

What to do:

  1. Pickers:

    • Place the Neighbour flyer in the rucksack, not inside the customer’s paper bag.

    • Each batch contains 25 flyers – the minimum print quantity. We kindly ask you to please use ~5 flyers per address (not the full batch), to ensure we cover multiple households in one delivery, but not waste too many flyers with each order.

  2. Hub Managers:

    • Brief your riders to put the flyers into the building’s mailboxes (do not leave them in the customer’s bag).
      Make sure they understand the flyer is for the neighbors, not the customers.

Why this matters:

This initiative helps us grow in these new areas by turning one existing order into many new opportunities in the same buildings, while staying cost-efficient. Thanks for making this work smoothly - every flyer counts!

Order Stacking Update – Turfs 25 & 27

Starting this week, we will be testing a small change in outer turfs 25 & 27, where we add a turf_25 or turf_27 order to an existing stack. This means we could start seeing trips with 5-stacks.

These turfs represent under 0.5% of orders in DE, so that most hubs won’t notice any change. In rare cases, we might see trips with up to 5 orders.

No major impact is expected, but if you do notice issues, please flag them to #tech_hub_service-de

Thanks for keeping things running smoothly!

Tech Hub FAQs

This week, we would like to address two bugs in the Flink Workforce app that are affecting Riders with iOS (Apple) phones. While the developers team is forking on a solution, please use the suggested workarounds.

Q: Rider can not access WF app, and he is seeing the “Something went wrong” error.

A: Unfortunately, this bug in the Flink Workforce app for iOS (Apple phones) doesn't allow riders who are in some “Temp offline” statuses to use the app. Please make sure that the rider is set on Available from his WF profile in Hub portal, and this should resolve the issue.

Q: Rider is getting a pop-up message asking to allow location tracking, and it is blocking other actions in the WF app

A: This is also a bug in the Workforce app for iOS devices. Location access pop-up can be shown even after the location access was already allowed, if the app was not restarted and still uses old settings. If you encounter this bug, please do the following:

  1. Force close the app (not just switch it to the background, but fully close);

  2. Go to the phone Settings -> Apps -> Flink Workforce.

  3. Allow all permissions that you see there (most importantly - set Location access to “Always” and allow Background refresh);

  4. Restart the Workforce app

  5. If it didn’t help:

    1. Delete the Workforce app from the phone.

    2. install it again from the App Store, but don’t open it yet;

    3. Repeat steps 2-4

Workforce Updates

_________________________________

Due to lower staffing in the team, we are experiencing an increase in reply time this week.

  • Please create escalations correctly and escalate only urgent requests. We are working on solving the tickets, and we will process payroll tickets as fast as possible with our current resources.

  • Ticket IDs are required when escalating a ticket.

Unpaid vacation reminder

Effective April 1st, 2025, unpaid vacation requests will only be approved by Area Managers.

Please contact the relevant Area Manager regarding unpaid leave requests for Riders, Ops Associates, and Ops Associate Plus roles. The Area Manager will then submit the approval request to the Workforce Support team on your behalf. We highly encourage not to raise a request unpaid leave request for Riders, OA, and OA+ if they do not have enough vacation days, as we will process only accrued paid vacation absence.

Shelf Changes + Delistings____________________________________

Screenshot 2025-05-25 125601.png

Please try accessing the link using hub’s goflink account. Access requests using private mail addresses will be declined.

Based on your feedback, we accommodated the delistings in the shelf change list. Column H (Delisting Status) will flag if a SKU has been delisted. Therefore we are removing the Delistings section from the newsletter. However, with our folder restructuring the shelf change link will take you to the g-drive folder, where you will find the current week’s change; change archive and the Delistings Archive separately.

Please only follow the ones that have exactly the same naming of your hubs and also be careful with following the same hub code while downloading the files.

Please find the file here

Some notes on the sheets:

  • The sheets are, as mentioned above, Hub specific. So only the sheet named with your hub code is valid for your hub.

  • "SKU" you can find the SKU which needs to be moved to another shelf space.

  • "oldShelf" - 4th column: If the cell is empty or has 999X, we just assigned this product to your Hub, so please just store it in the shelf mentioned in "new shelf".

  • "newShelf" - 5th column: If the cell is empty or has 999X, the product has been delisted in your hub.

  • if both "shelf" and "newShelf" have a shelf number, it's a normal shelf change.

  • The changes will go live tonight between 01 am and 07 am, please reorder the products tonight/ tomorrow morning.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Muhammad Al Zabir Rakin.

Thank you!
