Process
1.
Registration for the first aid course is done by the hub manager via the website of the German Red Cross. Select the course "Rotkreuzkurs Erste Hilfe" and your city or zip code on the website to display courses and dates.

Select the desired course on the following pages and fill out the form with the following information (the forms may differ slightly depending on the provider, but the content to be entered is usually always the same):
Company / institution and contact person
Here you enter the address data of the respective Expansions GmbH of the participating person.
Enter yourself as the contact person (incl. e-mail address).
Billing / Cost unit
Here you select that the participation is for a company.
Select "BG" (Berufsgenossenschaft) as the cost unit, in detail the "BG Handel und Warenlogistik", abbreviated to "BGHW".
The appropriate company number (or "BG Nummer") for the respective Expansion GmbH can be found at the bottom of the page in the FAQs.

Once participant registration has been completed, you must prepare the settlement form for the employee for the day of the training. Billing is handled by BGHW and is based on the Expansion GmbH where the participant is employed. This must be printed out, correctly completed, stamped and signed by the hub manager and given to the employee so that they can take it with them on the day of the training and present it to the course instructor.
4.
After completing the training, upload your certificate using this form and place the original in the work safety folder in your hub.
Important:
If the employee is unable to keep his/her appointment, please cancel in advance! Otherwise we will be charged the cancellation fee.
Participants must have a good knowledge of German (min. B1 - B2 level) to be able to follow the course content.

Why is it important?
It is a legal requirement that at least one first aider is present on every shift. This means that first aid can be provided on site in the hub in the event of an emergency. In addition, the certificates and orders for first aiders must be filed in the occupational work safety folder and presented during inspections by the authorities.
