Hub Layout Compliance

Following the layout in the Hubs means that the different equipment should be stored in the correct and designated places, such as the bikes in the designated marked zones.

Process

  1. Within the Hub, make sure that all the equipment has a place that is suitable for it and where it can easily be found.

  2. Marked zones:

    1. Marking zones is important to ensure that there is a basic structure within the Hub. These zones (e.g. an inbound zone) are designated for tasks or as storage locations of equipment and should only be used as such.

    2. To mark these zones, use the yellow/black tape that you can order from Roy Schulz.

  3. Storage areas for equipment:

    1. Smaller equipment that does not need its own "zone" should still be stored in a structured way. Use a cabinet or a shelf and label the areas for those things in the shelf itself, where each object belongs.

    2. This way, we achieve some order and the equipment can be found quickly.

  4. Make sure that the equipment is returned to its intended place after use. This applies, for example, to bicycles, as well as the tool box.

  5. Put all the equipment back in its original place in the evening, so that the team will find a tidy Hub the next morning and can start immediately.

  6. If the equipment is not in its designated place, look for it in the Hub or ask your colleagues. This will ensure that it has not disappeared and that you will find it immediately the next time you use it.

FAQ

Why is it important?

  • Keeping to the intended layout provides a basic structure in the Hubs. This ensures order and cleanliness.

  • Likewise, different equipment can be found more quickly if they’re always in the same place.

  • By marking different areas (e.g. bike parking areas, inbounding zones, parking zones for scooters), clear areas are created in the Hub, i.e. where which task is done.
