End-of-day Check

The end-of-day check is used to prepare the Hub for the next working day, so that it is in the same tidy condition every morning.

Instructions

  1. Plug the Zebras, powerbanks, and the speakers into the chargers at the Shift Lead desk.

  2. Replace the garbage bags in all the garbage cans in and in front of the Hub, and dispose of the ones that are full in the garbage bins.

  3. Replenish the paper towels in the sanitary facilities.

  4. Collect used glasses, plates and used cutlery and bottles with a deposit. Wash the dishes and place the bottles with a deposit in the bag provided.

  5. Desinfect the tap of the water dispenser using a special disinfectant. Clean the surface with surface disinfectant and paper towels, and empty and clean the drip tray in the sink if necessary.

  6. Place the outbounded baked goods, including the respective empties, at the delivery gate for morning pickup (or for the replacement/delivery of new goods). The R2E items are collected with the Clax carts, outbounded and subsequently stored in the cold storage room for Rescue Bags the next day. These items need to be clearly and visibly marked so that they’re not confused with fresh goods.

  7. The Shift Lead checks the battery level of each bike and places them in the designated battery safe for charging. In addition to this, they work with the Riders to tidy up or clean the bike storing area if necessary.

  8. The Ops Associates walk through the Picking path last, turn off the lights on the refrigerated shelves, and make sure they’re all closed.

  9. Check and sign-off the "DE End of Day Check" task on Flowtify.

Why is it important?

  • This allows your colleagues to focus on important tasks at the beginning of the shift, such as booking in and putting away baked goods, as well as performing the BBD and freshness checks.

  • The end-of-day check ensures that important work items such as the Zebra phones, power banks and bike batteries are charged and ready to be used.

  • The empty Rollis from the suppliers are ready for the handover and don’t have to be prepared and made available when the goods are delivered.

  • Fresh bakery products and R2E items can be immediately posted to our inventory the next business day, and more importantly, with the correct quantity, as these items have been cleared during the end-of-day check.
