Infrared measuring device: tips & tricks
The measuring device must be clean. Dirty or fogged lenses can falsify the measurement result.
The measuring surface must be clean. Dirt, dust, and hoarfrost can falsify the measurement result. Measure the packaged food in places where the product and the package have direct contact with each other.
Measuring distance: the closer, the better. This ensures that only the temperature of the object is measured and not its surroundings.

Instructions
Once a day in the morning, the Fridge Temperature Check on Flowtify is activated.
Enter Flowtify > Current > DE Temperature Check.
Once you enter the check, you can see which fridges need to be checked with an explanation on how to do it.
Grab the thermometer and your Zebra and go to the fridges displayed in the check. On Flowtify, press on the first task for the first fridge and perform the following checks:
Check the outside temperature of the fridge by holding the infrared thermometer close to the fridge.
If it is within the acceptable range, enter the temperature in Flowtify and press the gray arrow to move on to the other task.
If it is not within an acceptable range, you will see a pop-up with instructions that you need to follow immediately. Once you have done so, confirm that you have followed the instructions by ticking the box in the pop-up and move on to the following task.
Check the inside temperature of the fridge by holding the infrared thermometer inside the fridge.
Proceed as in steps 7.a and 7.b below.
Check the outside temperature of the products by taking one product from the front of a shelf and pointing the infrared thermometer 1,5cm away from it.
If the temperature is within an acceptable range (see FAQ for the acceptable ranges), enter the temperature in Flowtify and click on the gray arrow to move onto the next task.
If the temperature is too high, take the probe from the thermometer and poke the product to measure its internal temperature (inside the product). It is best to take an unsaleable product.
If the temperature is not within the acceptable range (the app will let you know), check the temperature setting on the fridge and repeat the measurement 30 minutes later. If the temperature is still not correct, the product must be outbounded and disposed of accordingly.
Once you are done with all the tasks for this check, you will be asked if all the fridges are under the red line.
If all the fridges are below the red line, click “Yes” and then on the gray arrow and see step 10.
If there is one or more fridges above the red line, click “No” and then on the grey arrow.
Alternatively, you can click on the purple button on the bottom left and explain in detail why the question cannot be answered.
Check Flowtify again in 10 minutes to perform the follow up task for each case.
Once you are done with all the tasks for this check, click on the signature task to sign off on this check.

How to set the refrigerators’ temperatures?
Model overview
Standard setting for the refrigerators
Temperature in C ("Set"): defines the basic setting and optimum temperature.
Range in C: is the range in which temperature can fluctuate. If the temperature is below/above this range, check the basic setting.
To set your refrigerators, there is the display at the bottom part of the fridge.Status: NEW = new update of temperatures, to-do in the Hub. If settings should change, there is an active info in the Slack channel #de_ops.
Model GGG
Here you can set two things: the basic temperature and the tolerance temperature. You can set the basic temperature via "set" (bottom left).
Click longer on it, until the degree flashes. You can switch up and down on the arrows on the right.
When you have the right temperature, click again on "set". 4 degrees is the base temperature with a tolerance limit of two degrees.
To set this tolerance limit you have to click "set" and "aux" (bottom right) at the same time for a little longer.
When HY shows up, click again on "set" and you will see 2 degrees. You can set it higher or lower on the right.
Click again on "set" and the tolerance limit is set.
As soon as you enter a tolerance limit, it is important that you calculate the basic temperature the refrigerator must be cooled to. The guidelines for this are the following:
For Morke products: maximum of eight degrees, and for fresh meat a maximum of four degrees Celsius.
The fruit refrigerators are set differently, at six degrees. The fridges with fruits like pineapples and lemons are set at eight degrees with a tolerance of two degrees.
Fruits and vegetables fridges are set at six degrees: four degrees + two degrees tolerance.
The most important thing is that you can’t cool the dairy products at more than eight degrees. The basic temperature here is four degrees plus two degrees tolerance.
The refrigerator for fresh meat is set lower, at a minimum of 2 degrees and a maximum of four degrees.
For the drinks, you can also go higher, between 6 and 7 degrees, since it is not as relevant as with the fresh products.
Model Tefcold
The temperature range of the Tefcold refrigerators is actually relatively easy to set. You hold down the "set" button and the "drop down" button (bottom left and right, respectively) until it starts flashing at some point.
Then "HY" appears. When this happens, press "set" again and you can adjust the temperature up and down on the arrows on the right, depending on where you want it to be at. For the refrigerator it has to stay at three.
Then press "set" again and that's it. At some point, the display will return back to normal and the temperature will be set.
Model Atosa
The same as Model GGG.
Model Meinex
For Meinex refrigerators please see the manual.
Meat refrigerator
To set the meat refrigerator: press on "set" twice.
Set the temperature on the arrows on the left, and then press "set" again.
Wait until “set” disappears from the screen or press once on the button above “set”.
Setting the tolerance range
Press the "set"-button until the display shows "dif”;
Press the "set" key again;
Then set the displayed value to 2.0 with the arrow keys;
Confirm the value 2.0 by pressing the "set" key.
Why is this check important?
We are required by law to regularly check the functionality of the fridges.
Different products must be stored at different temperature ranges in order to maintain the cold chains of the respective products and to ensure the freshness of the food for our customers at all times.
