Not all products that we carry in our assortment are delivered to us by REWE. In addition to these large deliveries, we also receive products from logistics companies, such as DHL or UPS, which must then be checked for quality and completeness and booked in.

Process
Upon delivery, the goods are accepted by the Shift Lead and checked against the delivery bill.
When we receive products through a logistics company, we perform all the usual checks that we do with other products. These are: quality and quantity checks.
If the goods are refrigerated and were cooled down during transportation with cold packs inside the cardboard boxes, their temperature must be checked. This applies to fresh meat, fish and dairy products.
To check the temperature, take the thermostat and perform an infrared reading of the products.
If the temperature doesn’t meet the guidelines, remeasure it via a puncture measurement.
Fridge products need to be between 0 and 7 degrees.
Frozen products need to be -15 degrees or under.
If the temperature is above the thresholds mentioned above, the Hub Manager will be informed and decide to refuse the delivery. After that, please create a HubAlert ticket.
You will also need to cross check the quantity with the delivery bill. If the quantity is not correct, create a HubAlert ticket.
If the goods are not refrigerated, the quantity is cross-checked with the quantity indicated on the delivery bill and then placed on their respective shelves.
If there are deviations from the delivery bill, report it with our Hub Alert app.
FAQ
It often happens with deliveries via logistics service providers, such as DHL or UPS, that the “cold chain” was not maintained and the goods are no longer cold due to delays in the delivery. That is why is so important to check the temperature at the receiving.
1 person 1 Device: all items should be booked in on your Zebra phone issued to you at the start of your shift. You should be logged into HubOne on your own profile.

Why is it important?
Some products (such as donuts, cheese or meat) are not brought to us by our regular suppliers, but come in packages through the mail or other logistics companies.
These products must also be checked individually and cross-checked with the delivery bill.
Since these are delivered by logistics companies, it’s common that they arrive damaged. Therefore, conducting a quality control is particularly important with these products.
