Inbounding Frozen Products

This page is about how to inbound and store frozen products, i.e., products with a temperature of between -18 and -21 degrees.

They come in TK rollis.

Tips & Tricks

  • Do the inbound next to the freezers.

  • While doing the list preparation, scan the items and immediately place them in the freezers one by one. Once the TK rolli is empty, click “Start Dropping” and inbound all products in a row.

Materials needed

  • Zebra with your Quinyx ID + holster.

  • Box cutter.

Instructions

  1. Go to the freezer area, where the TK rolli with frozen products should be.

  2. On your Zebra, go into the Inbound tab in the HubOne app and click “Select a Delivery” > “REWE”.

  3. Scan the rolli id.

  4. Take the first handling unit from the rolli.

  5. Scan the unit’s barcode.

    1. If it does not exist or work, scan a Single Unit’s barcode.

    2. Please note that only 1 item is automatically added to the list. Hence, you will need to edit the number of Single Units.

  6. Count the number of units you have received and enter them in the app.

  7. Place the item in the freezer. More information on how to store products in the Freezer under the section “How to store products in the freezer”.

  8. Repeat the process until the rolli is empty.

  9. Once all the items have been scanned and are in the freezer, click on “Verify list”.

    1. Make changes on the list, if necessary.

  10. Click on “Start dropping”.

  11. Click on all items on the list to automatically inbound them on the app.

  12. Once you have clicked on all items, click on “Finish dropping”.

How to store products in the freezer

  • Respect the number of facings displayed in the HubOne app. If the app requires, for example, two facings, this means you need to place the products in two rows.

  • Do not place different products on top of each other. Ensure that everything is immediately recognizable, so that you can pick items fast.

  • Use the grids in the freezers so that nothing is stored on the bottom or on the edge.

  • Do not store anything above the red mark, as this can cause the products to thaw and no longer be suitable for sale.

  • Do not store pizza vertically, but horizontally, as shown in the picture.

Why is this process important?

  • In order to maintain the cold chain, from the moment you receive the products to the moment we deliver to the customer, the products must be stored correctly and delivered in the right packaging.

  • The inbound and storage of the goods should be done carefully so that no problems occur before or after picking the order (these are, pre- or post-order issues).
