This is the process of inbounding drinks for REWE and drinks wholesalers (they come on a pallet in crates). |
Tips & Tricks
Inbound drinks directly next to the back stock.
While doing the list preparation, scan the items and immediately place them on the drinks backstock area one by one. Once the rolli is empty, click “Start Dropping” and inbound all products in a row.
Materials needed
Zebra with your Quinyx ID + holster.
Drinks trolley (If you do not have one, request it via Coupa).
Gloves.
Cutter.
Lifting cart for the pallets.
Safety covers for shoes.
Instructions
Put safety covers on your shoes before you start.
Move the pallet/rolli with the lifting cart to the drinks’ backstock area.
On the Zebra, in the HubOne app, go to the Inbound tab.
Click “Select a Delivery” and choose the corresponding delivery supplier:
If you select REWE, scan the rolli ID.
If you select “Other delivery”, go to step 5.
Take the first handling unit and scan the barcode.
Exception: drink crates usually do not have a handling unit barcode. Thus, you will have to scan the barcode of a Single Unit.
If you cannot scan either the handling unit’s or the single unit’s barcode, go to the search bar and look for the item manually.
Count the number of units you have received and enter them on the app.
Move the unit from the pallet/rolli into the drink's backstock with the help of the drinks trolley.
Repeat the process for all units in the pallet/rolli.
Once the pallet/rolli is empty, click on “Verify list”.
Make changes on the list, if necessary.
Click on “Start dropping”.
Click on all items on the list to automatically inbound them on the app.
Once you have clicked on all items, click on “Finish dropping”.
How should the drinks' backstock be arranged?
Respect the FIFO principle in order to maintain quality standards.
Group the same items in the same area/shelf.
Distinguish between alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks when storing the items.
Leave the most popular items at hand.
FAQ
1 person 1 Device: all items should be booked in on your Zebra phone issued to you at the start of your shift. You should be logged into HubOne on your own profile.
Inbound prioritization
Please follow the inbound guidelines below:
If the barcode of the item is not working or unavailable
Search the name of the item in the text box on the top part of the screen
Difference between a Handling Unit and a Single Unit
As displayed on the picture below, the handling unit is the total amount of products in one package. In this case, it is everything that the red lines encase, meaning the entire 20 Bauer yogurts. A single unit is only one unit out of the total amount in one package (or Handling Unit). In this case, it is the product encased within the blue square, or 1 yogurt of “Himbeeren” flavor.
