This guide describes the process of dealing with empties from REWE, from their receival, to preparation and return.
Empties are all the boxes, rollcontainers, and freezer rollcontainers (TKT rollcontainers) in which REWE delivers its products. After being emptied out of products from the deliveries, they must be returned.
This process is important, so Ops Associate Plus (OA+) Shift Leads (SLs) and Hub Managers (HMs) ensure that all the empties are delivered back to REWE, and the receiving process runs smoothly.
Process
Pre-count and prepare existing empties:
Before the REWE driver arrives, count the empties in the hub that are ready to give back to the driver:
Boxes: count only the IFCO-boxes.
TKTs: group both red and blue TKTs under the category TKTs.
Rollcontainers: group all different types of rollcontainers under the category Rollcontainers (RC).
Write the number of empties per category on the empties preparation sheet.
Access the empties preparation form in your Zebra and fill in the following information:
Hub code
Date of pick-up
Quinyx ID
A picture of the finished empties preparation sheet
Click Submit.
Count the empties of the new delivery:
Once the REWE driver arrives and unloads, count all the empties from this delivery. Use the logic in step 1.1.
Compare the number of empties you counted with the number of empties in the TRT-file. If there are discrepancies, update the TRT-file (also called TRT-Schein) under Lieferung.
Return the already existing empties:
Show the empties preparation sheet to the driver. If they agree to take all the empties, write the number of empties in the TRT-file under Rückgabe.
If they disagree to take them all, count the ones they're taking and write it down in the TRT-file under Rückgabe.
Confirm the information in the TRT-file with the driver.
Sign the TRT-file along with the driver.
Give the original to the driver and store the copy for future reference.
Complete the final documentation:
After the driver leaves, access the TRT empties return form in your Zebra and complete it with the following information:
Hub code
Date of pick-up
Quinyx ID
Number of empties taken by the driver
A picture of the TRT-file
If the number of empties received deviates from the number stated in the TRT file, tick the box under Received empties control // Empfangene Leergut Kontrolle.
Click Submit.
Monitor your hub's information on empties:
Regularly check your hub's empties data using the Inbound Checker.
