Energy saving measures for the Hubs

Fridges and freezers

Temperature adjustment of drink fridges

In all hubs, the temperature of the drink fridges must be set on a base temperature of 7 degrees. Read how to change the refrigerator temperature for all models here.

Turn off back stock freezers/fridges if not fully needed

  • Optimize equipment usage by fully utilizing each unit before turning off any that are only partially used.

  • Start by switching off the Tefcold front-freezers first, as they consume three times more energy than the top loaders. Prioritize using the top loaders, with overhead units serving as backstock when needed.

  • Ensure fridge and freezer doors are securely closed—conduct hourly checks to verify.

  • Train staff to close doors properly during picking, ensuring they’re closed gently but firmly.

Lights and heating

  • Turn off lights in unused areas (e.g., bathroom, kitchen) and during nighttime hours.

  • Switch off the A/C or heating when not needed; these should be set to maintain a consistent 21°C year-round.

  • Ensure PVC curtains remain properly attached to their mounts or are promptly reattached if removed. This is essential year-round to help keep heat out in the summer and retain warmth in the winter.

ℹ️ Important:

Please make sure all staff in your hub is aware of these measures in their daily routine!
