A collective labour agreement (CLA) is a written agreement made between the Employer organization and the Union (which are employee representatives) in which agreements are made regarding employment conditions. For example, wages, allowances, payment of overtime, working hours, probationary period, notice period or pension.
Who is the “Werkgeversvereniging E-commerce Netherlands”?
E-commerce Netherlands is an employers' association of e-commerce companies in the Netherlands. On behalf of the affiliated e-commerce companies, e- commerce Netherlands makes agreements about the e-commerce collective labor agreement with trade union De Unie.

Why is there an e-commerce collective labour agreement?
The importance of e-commerce for the Netherlands has grown enormously in recent years and the sector belongs to the top in Europe. The e-commerce sector is a major employer and wants to be an attractive place to work in the future. Many people with a job at e-commerce companies are covered by a collective agreement, but not everyone. There is a growing need for joint agreements and a suitable offer for employees.
A number of companies want to work on collective employment conditions for e-commerce companies. It fits the future of the e-commerce sector to take further steps in the professionalization of the sector that is underway.
How is this collective labour agreement developed?
The foundation of this collective labour agreement was laid in the first e-commerce collective labour agreement which De Unie and Picnic recently established. It has always been the ambition to connect other e-commerce companies and their employees to this collective labour agreement.
