NEW Cooling sleeves for rolcontainers

Soon, we will start using cooling sleeves as a solution to manage the high volume of fresh roll containers arriving at the hub. This change comes in response to challenges like elevated hub temperatures, pressure on operational processes, and declining product quality. The cooling sleeves will help maintain the cold chain, ensure product temperatures remain within the required range, and allow more flexibility and efficiency in inbound operations.

  • Lekkerland will place the sleeves over the roll containers before transport, so they will arrive at the hub already covered.

  • The sleeve can be easily opened at the front, allowing for quick inbounding while still keeping three sides of the roll container insulated.

  • After inbounding, the sleeve can be folded and placed on an empty roll container, which will be taken back by Lekkerland for reuse in the next delivery.

Soon an Edume Guide with video demonstrations will be released soon and will we also organize a Q&A session to answer any questions.

Hub Alert: LOT / PRODUCT CODE attachment in the pictures

In the hub alert tickets for fruits and vegetables, please attach pictures of the items with the LOT code clearly visible. The supplier needs this information to track the manufacturing and packing batches in order to identify the issue. This will help us proceed with the claims process.
Eg., here the LOT code is L- 3204

Blocking Shift Extensions in Low Stress PDT Scenarios - GoLive Wednesday, 13 July

  • During low-stress times (low PDT), the system will automatically punch riders out when they return to the hub after their planned shift ends, removing the 5-minute buffer we have currently.

  • Riders will no longer be able to decide for themselves if they want to extend their shift.

Only if really needed, Hub Managers or Shift Leads can still manually extend shifts or create new ones in Quinyx as a fallback option (e.g., nearing hub closure).

Recent Updates to Customer Refunds

For about one month, we have made a couple of changes to the way we process refund claims submitted by our customers. Please find here an overview of what’s new:

  • All submissions now go through a fraud check

    • Before, all refunds below €10 were approved, which could be exploited by customers.

    • Now, all claims run through a fraud check, and if flagged, they will be reviewed by the fraud team.

  • Refunds are not granted immediately

    • We allow 2 hours and 50 minutes after initial delivery for a hub to report a redelivery via Slack.

    • Redeliveries can only be done for orders above 10€

  • Rescue bags are now not refunded for reasons “perished”, “damaged”, or “low quality”

This means for you:

  • Not all refunds you see in the Live Cst Dashboard will actually get refunded

  • Please continue to report any suspicious refunds through the ‘report’ option in the dashboard

  • Refund claims rejected due to fraud have been increased by > 200%, meaning fewer ‘unjustified’ post-delivery issues.

New Fruit Bags – Arriving CW34 (Order already on the way!)

Why the change?

  • Better protection & presentation – Loose fruit stays safe in transport and arrives in better condition for the customer, making them feel we handled their order with care.

  • Brand visibility at home – Customers may keep the fruit in the same bag, putting the Flink logo right in their kitchen. This is also in line with other players in the market who have thier logo on fresh fruit and veg.

How to use them

  1. Place fruit bags on shelves next to (or as close as possible to) the listed products.

  2. Only pack these items inside*:

    • Loose pears

    • Loose apples (Gala, Granny Smith, Pink Lady)

    • Loose Avocados

    • *The reason why not all loose fruit and veg is that these are the most likely to be damaged during transport.

  3. After packing, put the fruit bag into the larger Flink bag.

Ordering details

  • The first order is already on its way to your hub, order via Coupa when you need more: Minimum order: 4 boxes (2000 bags per box)

🚀 Thank you for your support with this new process!

Why do we do shelf changes?

Shelf changes are primarily made to optimize product placement, such as moving items from an S to an XS shelf. This allows the shelves to be listed in more hubs than they currently are, expanding the assortment’s size across all hubs rather than concentrating it in only the larger L or XL hubs.

For example, by consolidating products on an S shelf, we can free up space on a relatively empty M shelf and streamline product placement from top to bottom.

This process will continue in the near future as we work to broaden our assortment. Expanding our assortment ultimately increases the potential basket size for customers.

If you notice products that don’t fit the shelves when following the facings, flag them via the “Facings feedback” option in Hub Alert.
