Article Summary :
In line with the current E-Commerce CLA, hub staff will have an individual learning and development (L&D) budget of 250 € incl. VAT per calendar year available. This amount is based on full-time employment.
All Flinkers are encouraged to discuss their role-related L&D needs with their direct manager.
The costs of L&D activities will be covered, if the activity is relevant to the business as well as the employee's role.
All requests must be made via this form and are subject to approval by your Hub Manager, City Manager and the People Team.
The L&D budget application is available for all Flinkers who have passed 12 months in service.
The E-Commerce landscape is always changing, and it is important to develop your knowledge and skills with it. Here at Flink, we are committed to helping you keep learning and growing on the job. You can always request a 1:1 with you Hub Manager to discuss your wishes for learning and development needs. After you have decided for the right learning and development opportunity, the process for compensation looks like this:
Discuss your L&D needs with your hub manager.
Please fill in this form once you have received a pre-approval by your HM.
The People Team and your City Manager will then process your request.
Following the approval, you can purchase the item (e.g. online training, book, skill-based workshops, etc.)
Expense the cost via Moss using description ‘Learning & Development budget’. *
💡 Please note: It is each Flinker’s own responsibility to be prepared and informed about the required details for their requested L&D activity. Without the above information, the request cannot move forward.
*What is Moss?
Moss is the financial reimbursement platform for Flink. All Flinkers can create an account via this link. Here, you can file a ticket with the IT service desk with request type set to "Request New User". Select the relevant department according to your hub cluster and City Manager.
After the ticket has been approved and processed, you will receive an invite from Moss to create an account. Once you have created an account, you can log into Moss, and create a reimbursement request through "Declaratie Indienen" under the "Declaraties" tab on the home page. Here, you will need your proof of purchase, purchase description and bank account details. The request will then be approved by your City Manager. Reimbursements are made in 3 weeks after approval of request.
💡 Please note: Reimbursements will only be processed if the requests are submitted with a proper invoice attached (including VAT). When booking your learning & development activity, please be sure to also request an invoice and keep it on hand.
FAQ
Q: Which training / workshops can I choose?
You can choose all education which helps you to become 1% better in your current, or future role, in agreement with your Hub Manager. If you are working as a Rider / Ops + / Shift Lead, this applies to learning activities that can demonstrably improve your skills inside the hub. Some examples of relevant topics are:
Delegation and time management
Conflict resolution
Motivating warehouse teams
Communicating with upper management
Giving feedback
Aggression training
Assertiveness training
Leadership and team building
Q: Do I need to take holidays to follow a learning course?
We expect you to follow the training in your own time. Work with your manager to fit a learning course into your work schedule.
Q: Can I reimburse my travel cost?
Cost of travel to a physical training course is considered a personal expense.
Q: When am I entitled to the learning budget?
Everybody in Flink is in scope of the learning budget after 12 months in service.
