Reduce damaged items - Orders in saddle bags first

When packing your bike after handover, make sure to start with the saddle bags first if your stack is not big enough to have the bike filled.

This gives the bike more stability and reduces the movement of containers inside the box, potentially reducing broken/damaged items and lowering your hub's issue rate.

Next-Day Orders – Now Live for All Customers

After a successful limited test, next-day delivery is now available to all Flink customers as of this week.

We’ve also launched a marketing push to promote the feature, so we expect to see a rise in next-day order volume in the coming days.

What to keep in mind:

  • Daily caps remain in place to avoid overloading hubs the next morning

  • Orders appear in the Hub Portal on the day they’re placed, with a note that they’ll be delivered the following day.

  • These orders show only in the ā€œAll Ordersā€ view and are excluded from other filters

  • They may temporarily increase average fulfillment time, but this does not impact KPIs

We’ll continue to monitor how this expansion affects operations. Thanks for your support in making it run smoothly!

No More Perished & Damaged Refunds for Rescue Bags

Starting tomorrow, Rescue bag refund requests for Perished & Damaged reasons will no longer be accepted. This change comes in response to feedback from several hubs who highlighted that rescue bag refunds were impacting their post-order issue rates.

By excluding these requests, we aim to create a clearer and fairer view of hub performance, helping teams focus on the issues that truly reflect operational quality.

Thank you to the hubs who raised this; your input directly supports better processes for everyone!

Order Assignment Update: What You Need to Know About the ā€œPicker Neededā€ Indicator

You may have recently noticed a larger number of ā€œpickers neededā€ in the activity tab of the hub dashboard. Don’t worry, this is part of an ongoing test, and there's no action needed from your side just yet.

We have been running a pilot in around 40 hubs in Germany to better understand how we can improve Order Assignment to OAs. The goal is to prepare for situations where a picker is needed, based on the availability of riders within the next 15 minutes.

Currently, we notify more OAs than required to pick orders that are "Ready to Pick". This test is one of several steps we’re taking to improve the system and make sure orders are assigned more efficiently to the OAs in the future.

Please keep in mind that not all features are final; things will change before a full rollout to all hubs.

Thanks for your support as we continue working to make operations more efficient!

Tech Hub FAQs

This week, we would like to address frequently asked questions about Rescue bags

Q: Rescue bag was created in the Builder tool, but is not visible in the Stock and nis ot available in the Store

A: For many products, when their stock goes to zero, the assignment to the hub gets deleted automatically. For the Rescue bag SKU, it happens too. Inbound of such products (or for Rescue bags - creation in the Builder tool) is possible, but it will take up to 30 minutes to re-create the SKU assignment to the hub. After 30 minutes or less, the SKU will be visible in stock and will be available for purchase.

If you need to check the stock sooner, please refer to the Stock change log in the Hub portal.

New in HubOne: Pink Dot Notification for Cancelled Orders: Go live - 9.7.25

You asked, and it’s here! Starting tomorrow, HubOne will show a new notification whenever a canceled order is ready to be re-inbound.

Keep an eye out for a pink dot on the inbound tab. This small update makes it easier to spot re-inbounds and helps avoid missed items.

Thanks to all the hubs who requested this; your feedback directly improves our tools!

Read more about the different Hub Sizes here!

Why do we do shelf changes?

Shelf changes are primarily made to optimize product placement, such as moving items from an S to an XS shelf. This allows the shelves to be listed in more hubs than they currently are, expanding the assortment’s size across all hubs rather than concentrating it in only the larger L or XL hubs.

For example, by consolidating products on an S shelf, we can free up space on a relatively empty M shelf and streamline product placement from top to bottom.

This process will continue in the near future as we work to broaden our assortment. Expanding our assortment ultimately increases the potential basket size for customers.

If you notice products that don’t fit the shelves when following the facings, flag them via the ā€œFacings feedbackā€ option in Hub Alert.
