Flink Rescue Bag Flow

Process & Guidelines

This guide describes the end-to-end process for Flink Rescue bags. By offering variety and ensuring high quality, we maximise customer satisfaction while reducing food waste.

1. Outbound Criteria

Products suitable for Rescue bags must meet the following quality criteria:

  • Close to expiry: THT / BBD -1 day.

  • Aesthetic defects: Fruits and vegetables that look imperfect but are safe and tasty.

  • Damaged packaging: Only if the inner seal is 100% intact and safe.

  • Wrong deliveries: Hub alert tickets marked "Give away".

đŸš« NEVER INCLUDE: Products past BBD, heavily damaged goods, household chemicals, pet food, or baby products.

2. Preparation Process (Builder V2)

New in Builder V2:

The system now includes Smart Rules to ensure variety and quality:

  • Category Validation: Incompatible items are now automatically blocked.

  • Variety Thresholds: Minimum unique SKUs are required; maximum quantities per item are capped.

  • Value Protection: Bags must fall within the specific Min/Max value range.

Step-by-Step:

  1. Outbound products in HubOne via the Rescue bag category.

  2. Use Bag Builder V2: Follow the Guidelines Pop-up that appears when you select a bag type. It lists exactly what can and cannot go inside.

  3. Variety Check: Ensure the bag has a good mix of items. If you have mostly one product type, create a specialized bag (e.g., Meat or F&V) instead of a Standard bag.

  4. Sticker the bags and place them on Shelf 2000X.

4. Quality & Variety Goals

  1. Focus on Customer Satisfaction
A high-quality bag means a repeat customer. Always prioritise variety over quantity of a single SKU.

  2. Strictly follow SKU Limits
Builder V2 will prevent you from adding too much of one item. This is intentional to ensure the customer gets a "grocery basket" experience, not 10 of the same yoghurt.

  3. Value Accuracy
Do not overstuff bags significantly beyond the target value. Use the Builder's value tracker to stay within the green zone.
