This page explains all the important information you need to know about the Emergency Response Kit. In the case of an emergency the hub needs to be equipped with first aid materials in order to be able to take the necessary actions.

Instructions
In case of fire and serious injuries, always call first 112.
Make sure that all Shift Leads and Hub Managers have a valid BHV Emergency Response Officer certificate. Refer to page Emergency Response BHV Course for details.
We keep 2 x emergency response kits inside our hubs:
1 x Big First aid kit from Saval - mounted against the wall.
1 x Small first aid kit that is kept at the Shift Lead's desk.
Big Emergency response kit from Saval
Make sure that your big Emergency Response Kit (EHBO) box is installed against the wall in your hub in a place which is easily accessible for all employees.
The Emergency Response Kit (EHBO) should at all times be filled up with the necessary equipment.
This box should also be sealed with a small red tie preferably.
Once the seal is broken and equipment is used, it is important to immediately order a refill. We are legally obliged to have this in place at all times and the kit to be filled up at all times.
For refills, create an S&T form.

For all our day to day treatment of small injuries, we use the small emergency response kit. This one can be ordered on Coupa.
How to order a refill for your Saval kit
Each Emergency Response Kit (EHBO) has 6 different boxes on the inside.
These boxes should always be complete.
Once you make use of the first aid box, you also need to re-order the used box or used units via the S&T form
Below you find what the different colors of the boxes are used for (Dutch only)
Module 6 should be Brandwonden / Burn wounds for Flink!
FAQ
Why is it important?
Every employer is obliged to take all necessary measures to protect its employees at work (§3 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act). Your hub is therefore required to have at least one employee that is certified as an Emergency Response Officer (BHV), to be on site at all times during operational hours.
This also means that your Emergency Response Kit (EHBO) needs to be up-to-date with all the necessary equipment to act in an emergency situation.
