Pest recognition / Anticimex

When it comes to detecting pests, the main thing is that immediate action is taken in the event of a potential rodent/insect infestation and that our partner for pest control (Anticimex) can also take action immediately.

Process

What to do in case of infestation?

Anticimex is our external service provider that handles all our pest problems. They install and monitor the pest equipment in accordance to HACCP. In case you recognize any infestation, contact Anticimex directly via Digimex. This is the app that should be installed on all hub computers and accessible to all Hub managers, Shift leader and OPS+.

How to contact Anticimex

  1. Fill in your username and your password.

  2. Press "Login".

4. On the main page, select your Hub.

5. Go to the tab ''Melding'' on the far right of the screen.

7. Fill in the form with the following information:

8. Once you're done, click on "verstuur" to send it off.

Important:

You should at all times have someone that is able to log in on Digimex. During inspections this is important and failing to log in can lead to big fines and closure of the hub.

How to prevent pests

General Information

  • Pay particular attention to signs of pests during incoming goods inspection and the inbound process.

  • Dispose of food, food waste, organic waste properly and as quickly as possible: do not leave it lying around in the lift and do not dispose of it in the toilet.

  • Do not keep doors and windows that are not protected by screens open longer than necessary. If an insect screen is required, please also report this to the Property Management Team. Windows without insect screens must not be opened for ventilation.

  • Ensure general cleanliness in the hubs. Under and behing fridges and freezers should always be clean.

  • Check under shelves and in corners daily to make sure they have been thoroughly cleaned.

  • Dropped food and food debris quickly attract pests.

  • Report holes in walls and other damage that may attract pests to Property Management or close them yourself.

  • Make sure that when your doors are closed there is no light passing through underneath, as this is the main entry points of mice.

  • Make sure your meterkast / electrical cupboard is clean and not used for storage.

  • Everything in the hubs should be stored off the ground, such as bags, jackets and equipment.

FAQ

Why is it important?

To protect our food and employees, every rodent/insect infestation must be reported immediately to the pest controller so that the infestation can be eliminated immediately. This is especially important as a pest infestation can contaminate food and also lead to the immediate closure of a Hub.
