If too many orders come in at once and there’s not enough employees on site to deliver the orders, we have to close the Hub after a certain threshold. The Hub might also have to be closed due to other reasons like weather, property issues. |
Criteria
Criteria for closing due to understaffing (both criteria must be fulfilled):
After 10pm;
Orders in Hub / number of Riders >=5;
For closures other than understaffing, please just select the respective reason and if helpful, write a short comment in the slack workflow.
Shifts are not allowed to be canceled less than 24 hours in advance.
If the forecast is that the hub will be closed longer than 24 hours, any shift that is more than 24 hours in the future is allowed to be canceled.
See if you can redistribute your employees to other hubs for the duration of their shift with a travel distance of max. 1,5 hours. If employees refuse, you can agree to cancel the shift under a mutual agreement.
If there is a sudden problem with the hub and it needs to close immediately, make sure to find tasks within the hub for any employees that still have a shift.
