Weekly To Do's
🚛 🌡️ Heatwave Protocol for Fresh/Frozen Containers
With extreme heat coming our way over the next few weeks, protecting our cold chain is our #1 priority. Please enforce these rules immediately:
CHECK ON THE UNLOADING DOCK: Measure temperatures as soon as containers are still on the unloading dock of the truck. If the driver refuses to wait, please escalate to Supply Chain immediately.
MEASURE THE CORE (USE PROBES): Temp the actual food, not the packaging. Please also use probe thermometers, not just the infrared meters to guarantee an accurate core reading. (infrared are less accurate, use probe when temperature is close to the limit).
REJECT AT 8.5°C: Reject fresh containers if the core temperature is above 8.5°C. As for frozen, reject anything above -15°C.
SEND A PICTURE: Every rejected container must include a clear photo of the thermometer reading.
USE COOLING SLEEVES: This is mandatory for all containers, regardless of their arrival temperature.
GEAR NEED: Reply to this message if your hub is missing probe thermometers or cooling sleeves.
Note: this week we got fresh goods with an inner temperature of 17 to 19 degrees today, please check any single delivery in the upcoming weeks. Lekkerland drivers are instructed to take back anything above 8.5°C
🍓 Strawberry Checks - Required Immediately
🔴 Quality alert. Last week we hit a massive 104 post-order complaints about strawberry quality. Despite multiple reminders, perished strawberries are still making it into our customers' bags. This is a critical issue impacting customer experience.
🚨 Call to action — take these steps:
Inbounding (first line of defence): Inspect all boxes of strawberries the moment they arrive. If a batch looks damaged, moldy or underripe, use the correct outbounding procedure during inbounding and provide the requested photos.
Right now (immediate stock audit): Go to your shelves and backstock and check every single box of strawberries currently in stock.
Picking (final quality gate): Pickers must inspect the boxes again during picking. If the quality isn't perfect, do not pack it.
Feedback & response (closing the loop): If an issue still slips through and gets reported, give feedback to the OA and re-check all remaining stock. Keep an eye on the customer feedback dashboard and don't leave complaint tickets open.
What our customers are seeing — examples of what was delivered last week. A visual reminder of what we absolutely cannot allow to leave our hubs:
Let's work together to lock this down and ensure only the highest-quality produce leaves our doors. Thank you for your immediate action.
🍊 F&V Newsletter — Week 26
This week's F&V leaflet focuses on critical mould alerts for mandarins and strawberries, alongside a tightening orange market and declining cucumber supplies as the Spanish season nears its end.

Shelf Changes & Delistings
Ticket Processing Update
Shelf changes are implemented only once per week. We typically review incoming tickets on Monday and Tuesday. So if you submit a ticket on Wednesday and don't see an update by Friday, it's not an oversight — the ticket is simply queued for the next processing cycle, as shelf changes and facing adjustments can only be executed once a week. Exceptions are made only for critical or urgent issues.
Shelf changes
If you do not find your file in the folder, it means there are no shelf changes for your hub.
The list is published at 16:00, so please check around that time. The changes go live tonight between 01:00 and 07:00, so move products to their new locations tonight after closure or tomorrow morning.
🤓 Don't forget the backstock! When moving products to their new shelf, always check and reposition any backstock on the top shelves as well.
