📋 Weekly To Do's
🍓 Fruit of the Week: The Berry Check
We're highlighting one product each week to sharpen quality. This week it's berries — they caused 41 perished-item complaints last week!
Because berries have a short shelf life, it isn't enough to just check the top of the pile. We need to ensure that what reaches the customer's door is the best quality.
How to quality check like a pro
Don't just glance at the crate — check the entire stock during your fresh checks and maintain "last eyes" during picking.
✅ Top Quality/Sell: dark blue/purple blueberries; strawberries with a slightly white top are still good. Sell it!
⚠️ Rescue Bag: one bad berry in the bunch? Outbound and sell it via Rescue Bag.
❌ Outbound Perished: softness, visible mould, or mushy frost damage. Outbound as Perished.
The Picker's "Last Eyes" Rule
The picker is the final line of defence. Before placing a pack into a customer's bag, do a 3-second flip check:
Check the bottom: mould often starts at the base where moisture sits.
The "squish" test: if they look shrivelled or furry, they stay behind.
🍊 F&V Leaflet — Week 24
This week's F&V leaflet focuses on critical mould quality alerts for mandarins, tightening citrus markets for lemons and oranges, and falling blackberry volumes. See more in the Week 24 leaflet.
🔑 Key updates you can't miss
🚲 Trip Time Difference — A fairer way to measure rider performance — Live tomorrow (7am)!
⚠️ Please make sure your team and riders are aware of these changes.
📲 A WF App Update will be required on Wednesday - please make sure your riders do the update.
📊 Check your riders have completed the mandatory edume guide (filter: "Trip Time Difference") here.
📌 Grace period for rider tips: between this and next week (CW24–25) we'll introduce a grace period for rider tip distribution so riders have time to adapt. During this time, the tip booster will be paused.
As announced last week, our new rider performance metric, Trip Time Difference, goes live tomorrow. It replaces the old on-time metric with a fairer, calmer way to measure how trips actually go. 🚀
Why the change?
Riders and hubs felt the old metric was unfair. It relied on often-inaccurate Google ETAs, making it hard to be on time, and sometimes pushed riders to swipe early just to hit a target - and adding pressure while riding.
What's new?
End-to-end tracking: performance is now based on the total trip time (from trip offer to hub return) compared to the estimate — individual segments are no longer counted as KPIs.
Fairer comparisons with peers: instead of a strict pass/fail for being "on time," performance is compared to the hub average.
Calmer, safer riding: the on-time tracker is gone during the ride, so riders can focus on the road and the customer.
How will it work?
Trip Time Difference is the difference between the actual trip (from trip offered to rider to swiping returned) and the estimate (the Google estimate + hub benchmark). Below you can see how it's made up of different segments.
During the trip: on-time trackers removed, larger buttons.
Live performance is visible after each trip and during the shift.
Weekly performance — riders see it in the Stats tab their performance compared to the Hub Average.
Hub Portal: Trip Time Difference and Acceptance Rate are the main live steering metrics.
This is a big step toward fairer rider performance rating — thanks for helping your riders make the switch.
🏷️ SSCC Labels: Why They Matter for Accurate Inbound
To keep our inbound accuracy high, it’s essential to always scan the SSCC label from the current day’s delivery. Scanning the correct SSCC (either when accepting a delivery or creating a list) ensures that:
Expected quantities are pre-filled
Inbound deviation checks are created for all products, helping us catch issues early and maintain top performance
There are two types of SSCC labels you may encounter:
1. Primary SSCC Label (Red-lined: Applied by Lekkerland)
This is the preferred label and should always be scanned first.
If this red-lined SSCC label does not scan or is missing information, please report it immediately using the Inbound Error Workflow (and proceed with the below steps).
2. Alternative SSCC Label (Small White Label)
If available, you can use the small white SSCC label usually attached to the roll container as a backup. Please, remember to always remove those labels after inbounding, as they might stay on the container and be delivered the following day in some other hubs, leading to confusion.
For this reason, before scanning this label, always first double check that the hub written on it is actually yours.
What to do if no SSCC label is attached
If a roll container arrives without any SSCC label, simply scan the SSCC from another roll container from that same delivery.
Accurate scanning keeps our inbound clean — thanks for the attention to detail.
🗂️ Shelf Changes & Delistings
Ticket Processing Update
Shelf changes are implemented only once per week. We typically review incoming tickets on Monday and Tuesday. So if you submit a ticket on Wednesday and don't see an update by Friday, it isn't an oversight — the ticket is simply queued for the next processing cycle, as shelf changes and facing adjustments can only run once a week. Exceptions are made only for critical or urgent issues.
Shelf Changes
If you do not find your file in the folder, it means there are no shelf changes for your hub.
The list will be published at 16:00, so please check around that time. The changes go live tonight between 01:00 and 07:00, so please move products to their new locations after closure tonight or first thing tomorrow.
🤓 Don't forget the backstock! When moving products to their new shelf, always check and reposition any backstock on the top shelves as well.
