What to Expect During a Bag Check

🕒 When It Happens

  • The check happens at the end of your shift.

  • You will be asked to stay briefly for the check.

  • The check will happen where there is CCTV and a witness present.

👀 How the Check Works

  • You will be asked to open your own bag and show the contents.

  • The Hub Manager / Shift Lead will look inside without touching your belongings.

  • The process is brief and should only take a moment.

⚠️ Refusing or Having Concerns

If You Refuse a Bag Check:

  • You will be sent home immediately.

  • You will not be scheduled to work until the situation is reviewed.

  • You may receive an official warning.

If You Have Concerns:

If you believe the check is unfair or something feels wrong, you may raise the issue with management or submit a formal concern through the normal support channels.

What Happens If Something Is Found

Scenario A: Claimed “Prior Purchase” (No Receipt)

If you say an item was bought earlier but cannot show a valid receipt:

  • You will be sent home while the situation is reviewed.

  • The company may check stock, transactions, and camera footage.

Scenario B: Confirmed Theft

If the item was not purchased or evidence clearly shows theft:

  • You will be sent home immediately.

  • Your employment may be terminated after review.

🚨 What Happens Afterward

If theft is confirmed, the company may take further action such as ending employment and handling any required reporting. You will be informed of the outcome once the review is completed.
