Phone Repair and Reimbursement Policy

Our Expectations

We expect our employees to exercise caution with their personal items while working. To further minimize accidents, Flink provides phone holders on the bikes.

Submitting a Reimbursement Claim

If your phone breaks during work hours due to an accident, you can have it repaired. To request reimbursement, please follow these steps:

  1. Repair the phone.

  2. Submit the repair receipt to your manager.

Conditions for Reimbursement

It's important to note that Flink reserves the right to reject your reimbursement claim if it doesn't meet the following criteria:

  • The damage was not the result of an accident but was purposefully inflicted.

  • The claim was not submitted by your hub manager.

  • You don't have the original repair receipt.

  • You didn't use Flink-provided bikes and accessories (such as the phone holder on the bike) to secure the phone while riding.

Required Information on the Receipt

In the case of repairs, the receipt must include the following information:

  • The type of phone/manufacturer (e.g., Apple iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S23, Huawei P30, etc.)

  • Date and time of the repair

  • The name and location of the repair shop

  • Details of the repairs performed (e.g., screen replacement, new battery, etc.)

  • The original cause of damage (e.g., broken screen, damaged battery, rain/water damage due to rain)

Reimbursement for Phones Deemed Beyond Repair

If your phone cannot be repaired or if the repair cost exceeds the phone's value, Flink offers reimbursement equal to the current market value of your device on a pro-rata daily basis. To be eligible for this reimbursement, you must provide the following documentation:

  1. Proof of Purchase: A receipt or proof of purchase showing the original purchase price and the date you bought the phone.

  2. Repair Shop Declaration: A written statement from an authorized repair shop confirming that the phone is beyond repair or that repair costs would exceed its value.

Flink reserves the right to determine the daily depreciation rate based on the phone’s age, original purchase price, and current market value.
