In the unfortunate event that you have an accident while on duty, whether during delivery or at the hub, it's crucial to know what steps to take next. Here's a clear guide on what to do:
Report the Accident: Immediately inform your hub manager or shift lead about the incident. Quick reporting is essential.
Fill out Forms: Depending on the nature of the accident, you may need to complete two forms:
European Accident Form: Find this form attached to this article.
Incident Form: If you've sustained personal injuries, complete this form.
Submit Documents: Hand the filled-out forms to your hub manager. They will report the incident to the Rider Care Accident Management Team.
It's also advisable to:
Document the Scene: Take photos of your injury and the circumstances that led to the accident.
Collect Witness Information: Ensure you have contact details for any witnesses.
Take Notes: Record details of the accident as soon as possible. You can even include drawings to illustrate what happened.
Gather Witness Statements: Ask any witnesses to provide written accounts and share them with you.
If you've suffered personal injuries, your case will be forwarded to our insurance broker, who will handle:
Following up on your medical bills.
Addressing any other expenses resulting from the accident.
In cases where you are unable to work due to the accident, you will be placed on sick leave until you fully recover or begin a reintegration process. Our company doctor, De Nieuwe Arts, will work closely with you to assess your injuries and determine your return-to-work plan.
