In the Netherlands, partner leave offers valuable time to bond with your newborn and support the birthing parent.
Key Entitlements:
Initial Partner Leave: You are entitled to one week (5 working days) of fully paid leave following the birth of your child based on your contractual weekly hours or average worked hours. This leave can be taken immediately or anytime within the first 4 weeks after birth.
Additional Partner Leave: After the initial paid leave, you may request up to 5 additional weeks of partner leave within the first 6 months following birth. During this extended leave, you’ll receive up to 70% of your salary (subject to daily limits) through benefits provided by UWV. To prevent delays, we will pay your benefit in advance, and UWV will reimburse us directly.

Submit Your Request: Use the workforce app as follows:
Go to "Get Help".
Select "Absence".
Tap "Special Leave" and choose Partner Leave.
Notify Your Hub Manager: Inform your hub manager of your planned absence dates for a smooth transition during your leave.
