Parental leave allows both parents additional time to bond with and care for their child in the early years.
Key Entitlements:
Duration: In the Netherlands, each parent is entitled to up to 26 weeks of parental leave per child, which can be used anytime until the child turns 8 years old. This leave is generally unpaid unless otherwise specified by company policy.
Government-Supported Paid Parental Leave: For children under the age of 1, parents may take up to 9 weeks of partially paid parental leave. During this period, you’ll receive up to 70% of your salary, subject to daily limits, paid through benefits provided by UWV. To ensure timely compensation, we will pay your benefit in advance, with reimbursement from UWV.

Submit Your Request: Use the workforce app as follows:
Go to "Get Help".
Select "Absence".
Tap "Special Leave" and choose Parental Leave.
Notify Your Hub Manager: Inform your hub manager of your planned leave dates to allow for adequate planning during your absence.
Our company will coordinate with UWV on your behalf to secure the benefit, ensuring that you are compensated promptly.
