To improve operational efficiency during high PDT (promised delivery time) periods, we will ask riders to stay after their shift ends for additional trip(s) via the workforce app.
How it works:
You must have the latest version of the Workforce app.
Riders who are close to their shift end (20 min before shift end) will get trip offers, including a message that the hub is in stress and asks them to stay and help the team out if possible..
This will happen on a per-trip basis: stay for one more trip, prompted repeatedly if necessary.
The need for shift extension is reassessed every time a rider returns to the hub.
Accepting the trip is not mandatory. Riders can always end their shift as usual.
FAQ
Will i be paid the extra time?
Yes, riders will be paid for the time worked (punched) as usual
Is there a limit on how long a shift can be extended?
At the moment, there is no limit to the number of trips a rider can accept after the shift ends. This, however, will be monitored by the shift lead to ensure no one goes over the legal limit.
