🥚⚠️ Freshness Campaign: Eggs - 89 cases of damaged eggs last week

Okay, so they aren't exactly fruits or vegetables... BUT they are one of our biggest sellers and easily the most fragile item we deliver.

Our customers put a lot of trust in us to deliver their groceries safely and soundly. Because eggs are currently among the most frequently damaged items in our orders, let's dive into how we can handle them properly and deliver the best possible quality to our customers!

The OAs guide

During Inbound/Check:

  • Spot the leaks: Always check for any sticky leakage or broken eggs that may have happened during transit. If you spot any, make sure to mark them as damaged via the app so they don't end up on the shelves.

During Picking:

  • The quick peek: Always open the egg carton and give it a quick visual scan to ensure there are no hidden breakages before packing.

  • Keep them on top: Never place egg cartons under heavy products!

  • Keep them flat: Do not pack egg boxes sideways. This drastically increases the likelihood that they will crack during the ride.

  • Secure the box: For smaller boxes (like the 6-packs), you can slide them into a paper fruit & veg bag to prevent the lid from popping open. Alternatively, you can use a small piece of tape to keep the box shut (shoutout to the hubs already doing this!).

During Handover:

  • Pass with care: Riders should always handle handed-over bags carefully. A good rule of thumb is to assume all orders contain fragile items like eggs.

Remember: If we can consistently and successfully deliver our most fragile products, we build incredible trust with our customers, and happier customers mean more orders! Let’s get cracking! (Or not as the case is!) 🍳

👯Reminder: Double SKU Reporting Sheet

We have seen a rise in hubs flagging issues with double and even triple SKUs on Slack. We kindly ask you to add any double or triple SKUs to the Double SKU reporting sheet so they can be looked at.

Thank you!

🍊🍓 F&V Leaflet

This week’s leaflet focuses on critical quality alerts for mandarins and late-season strawberries alongside a tightening lemon market due to recent South African floods. See more here Week 22.

Outbound Hub Compliance

Last week’s overall compliance for outbounds is lower than usual. Please always insert the BBD when outbounding a product. For F&V products, please insert the production code (normally begins with L:). Please make sure to always input this, otherwise suppliers will reject the claims.

Key updates you can't miss

🔄 Restocking V2 Priorities - Go Live Wednesday 27 May

A smarter restocking flow is coming to your hub this Wednesday, thanks to your feedback - designed to help OAs tackle the most critical shelves first and reduce picking delays.

Why the change?

Out-of-stock situations and high picking times often happen because products are restocked in the wrong order. The new priority system helps you to prioritize your restocking list, so you’ll know exactly which items need attention most urgently.

What’s new?

  • Priorities for each product: Each product has now a priority (high, medium, or low) based on avg sales and predicted time until out of stock.

  • Priority filters & sorting: Your restocking list will now be sorted by priority, so the most critical products appear at the top. You can also filter to focus on high-priority items - great for busy periods.

  • Facings visible on all screens: You can now see the facing count throughout the entire restocking flow. No more jumping between screens to check shelf capacity.

Check out all information about the Update here: Restocking V2

From Wednesday morning, you’ll see the new priority view when you open the restocking screen - just make sure HubOne is updated to the most recent version.

Thanks for helping us keep our shelves stocked and our customers happy! 🚀

📋 Additional Outbound Reasons during Inbound - Live Today!

We’ve updated the outbound-during-inbound flow in HubOne to give you more precision when reporting issues at delivery.

Why the change?

Until now, you only had 2 reasons to choose from when marking a product as outbound during inbound. The problem? With just 2 broad categories, it was hard to accurately capture why something was being rejected — which made it difficult for our Supply Chain team to contest supplier invoices and recover costs.

As of today, 26 May, you now have 5 reasons to choose from. More detail = better data = more successful claims with our suppliers.

The 5 outbound reasons at a glance:

Outbound reasons phone and table

⚠️ Please use the most accurate reason when marking outbound during inbound. Every correct entry helps us recover money that Flink would otherwise be charged for.

The new reasons are already live in the app - just update HubOne to the newest version, and next time you’re doing inbound and need to mark something as outbound, you’ll see the updated list.

Thanks for helping us keep our claims process as accurate as possible!

Shelf Changes & De-listings

Ticket Processing Update

Shelf changes are implemented only once per week. Typically, we review incoming tickets on Monday and Tuesday. Therefore, if you submit a ticket on Wednesday and do not see an update by Friday, please note that it is not due to an oversight. The ticket is simply queued for the next processing cycle, as shelf changes and facings adjustments can only be executed once a week. Exceptions are made only in cases of critical or urgent issues.

If you do not find your hub's file in the folders, it means there are no shelf changes for you this week.
