šŸ“² HubOne - Double Picking Warning

Currently, it can happen that two OAs get the same order for picking on the Zebra. If this happens, the second OA will see a warning telling them that the order is already in picking.

If you see this warning, check if the order is currently picked by someone else, and if yes, click Close.

If you keep receiving the same order again and again, close and restart the app.

In the future, we will also show the picker who picked the order.

The teams are already looking into solving the underlying cause of this.

šŸŒ Freshness Campaign: Hub wiki Update & Fruit of the Week

The Flink Freshness campaign is underway, and this week, we have two pieces of information that support our promise to our customers.

Hub wiki: Hub Freshness & Quality Guide

At Flink, we promise our customers a freshness guarantee. Keeping this promise starts with inbound handling and product delivery, so our customers receive only the freshest items. This hubwiki guide will help us meet our promise to our customers.

šŸŒ Fruit/Veg of the Week: Bananas

Recently, we’ve seen an increase in customer complaints regarding bananas arriving with minor damage or dark spots. These should be caught during our quality checks and outbound for Rescue Bags. Bananas are one of our biggest-selling items, so let's make sure we are sending out the best!

Storage Rules

Bananas must always be stored in the green crates. Do not keep them in the original boxes or bags they arrive in. Proper airflow is essential; otherwise, they won't age at the correct rate, and we end up sending unripe, green bananas to our customers.

The OAs guide

During Inbound/Check:

  • Unpack Immediately: Transfer all newly delivered bananas from their transport bags/boxes into the green crates.

  • Sort Promptly: Do a quick scan as you unpack. Immediately route any bananas with dark spots or minor damage to the Rescue Bags so they don't end up on the picking line.

  • Discard the Bad: Remove any moist, grey, or mouldy bananas to prevent spoiling the rest of the batch.

During Picking:

  • Don't Forget Them: Bananas are among the most frequently missed items during picking! Always double-check your scanner to ensure they are added to the order.

  • Final Quality Check: Give the bananas one last look before bagging. If a banana shows minor damage or bruising, do not pack it; pick a fresh one instead.

šŸ‹šŸ†šŸ“ Fruit & Veg Leaflet This Week

This week’s Fruits and Vegetables leaflet focuses on managing shelf-life risks for berries and aubergines as temperatures rise, while lemon supply remains limited until larger volumes arrive in late May. See more here Week 18.

šŸ“¦ Restocking V2: Product Category & Shelf Number Filters - Go Live Wednesday 29th

Restocking is one of the most important tasks in the hubs; it helps ensure shelves are always full and allows us to pick faster.

To help you further improve your restocking, we are adding the ability to filter and sort restocking lists by shelf location and product category, so you can better organise how you restock!

Shelf Changes & De-listings

Ticket Processing Update

Shelf changes are implemented only once per week. Typically, we review incoming tickets on Monday and Tuesday.

Therefore, if you submit a ticket on Wednesday and do not see an update by Friday, please note that it is not due to an oversight. The ticket is simply queued for the next processing cycle, as shelf changes and facings adjustments can only be executed once a week. Exceptions are made only in cases of critical or urgent issues.

Shelf Changes

The shelf changes will be posted at 15:00 today and will go live tonight. Please move products to their new locations after closure or tomorrow morning. Don't forget the back stock!

If you do not find your hub's file in the folders, it means there are no shelf changes for you this week.
