🔋 Feature Spotlight: Battery Count is LIVE!

Following the successful launch of the Battery Count feature last week, we’ve seen excellent initial results. To maintain this momentum, we are now requiring all hubs to transition to this new method

Why the change matters

Maintaining an accurate battery inventory isn't just about counting boxes; it’s about operational health. The new HubOne integration solves:

  • Maintenance Visibility: Broken batteries are flagged and outbounded for repair instantly, not forgotten in a corner.

  • Accountability: Full visibility on who completed the count and when, making handovers seamless.

Post-Launch Pulse Check

The early results are in, and the feedback has been fantastic! Most hubs are finding the scanning process much more intuitive. However, to make this data work for the whole network, we need 100% participation.

Attention: Hubs with Pending Counts

We’ve noticed some Hubs haven't kicked off their first count yet, or started but didn't quite finish.

Stuck? We’re here to help. If you’ve hit a technical snag or the "Smart Validation" is giving you a headache, don't just close the app! Please flag it immediately in your Cluster Equipment/Fleet Channel. We need your feedback to keep the tool sharp.

Pro-Tips for a Perfect Count

  1. Scan as you go: Use the Real-Time Management feature to update battery statuses (like "Non-functional") before you start the big weekly count.

  2. Explain the missing: If the app expects a battery that isn't there, use the "Stolen" or "Repair" tags, this keeps our data clean.

  3. Check the Deck: If you need a refresher on the UI, check the [Detailed Slide Deck Here].

Happy Counting!

🚀 Explanation on compliance: Outbound during Inbound

Over the last two weeks, outbound compliance has been notably low across hubs. The primary issue is that the barcode number is being entered during outbound instead of the required BBD or Production Code.

When outbounding an item, you must enter the traceability code (BBD or production code) rather than the product barcode.

  • For Fruits & Vegetables: Look for the Production Code. This almost always starts with the letter "L" (e.g., L:103). You must enter this "L" code.

  • For Non-Food Products: Since these don't have a Best Before Date (BBD), you must locate the Production/Batch Code.

  • What to Avoid: Do not enter the numbers found directly beneath the barcode (EAN). These are static across products and do not help suppliers track specific batches, leading to rejected outbounds.

For a visual step-by-step guide including photo examples of where to find these codes on different packaging, please see the details here.

🔢 Emballage counting

Pre-counting on Sunday by the hub

On this upcoming Sunday (March 15th) we ask you to count all the roll containers that will be standing in your hubs and fill the total amount here

Please, make sure to include:

  • Pink roll containers: fill in the number of pink roll containers in column C (if you have any)

  • Normal roll containers: fill in the number of the normal containers in column B, including both the full and the empty ones

It's really important that you provide numbers on Sunday, not those from today or tomorrow!

Counting in week 12 by Lekkerland

The “real” counting is planned for week 12 (March 16th to March 21st) at your hubs. Schedules can be found here. Note that LL will arrive OUTSIDE normal delivery time slots, so be prepared - you'll find the time slot in the file.

Necessary preparations:

  • This week, please return to Lekkerland any emballage that you’re not using.

  • Make sure the hub manager or experienced shift lead is present in the hub on the day/time of the counting.

  • Gather and centralize all emballage stuff at one place in the hub (sorting out the different pieces to make the count easier).

  • Rollcages organised and shared into 4 pcs.

Always agree on the counting between Flink employees and the Lekkerland counter.

No need to share with us any counting figures; everything will be counted by Lekkerland

Thanks for your cooperation and in case you have any questions, please reach out to Andrea Farina or Tim Dekkers.

🍌🍆🍊 Fruit & Veg Leaflet This Week.

This week's Fruit & Vegetables leaflet highlights a decline in quality for bananas and aubergines, alongside continued availability shortages for courgettes and mandarins caused by weather-driven supply gaps in Spain. See more here Week 11.

Key updates you can't miss

📱 HubOne Update: A Cleaner, Smarter Inventory Tab - Live Wednesday 11th

We’ve redesigned the Inventory Tab to help you navigate your shift more efficiently. Instead of scrolling through a long list, HubOne now prioritises your work based on urgency.

What’s New?

The layout is now divided into three clear sections so you always know what to tackle first:

  • Pinned Tasks: Your most-used tools, like Restocking and Stock Correction, are now pinned right at the top for instant access.

  • Open Tasks: This section only appears when time-sensitive actions are needed (e.g., Freshness Checks or the new Battery Count). A notification badge will show exactly how many actions are pending.

  • Support Tasks: Important recurring tasks that aren't time-sensitive, such as the Rescue Bag Builder and Battery Management, have their own dedicated home at the bottom.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Less Clutter: If there are no urgent checks due, the "Open Tasks" section stays hidden, keeping your screen clean.

  • Better Focus: The notification numbers tell you exactly where your attention is needed most.

  • Consistency: Whether you are building rescue bags or managing batteries, every tool is now exactly where you expect it to be.

From Wednesday, take a second to explore the new layout, it’s designed to make your daily workflow smoother than ever!

🎒 Update: Transitioning from Rescue Bag Stickers to Digital PDFs

To streamline operations and reduce waste, we are officially phasing out pre-printed adhesive stickers for Rescue Bags. Moving forward, hubs will move to a print-on-demand model.

What’s Changing?

Instead of ordering physical sticker rolls, we are providing PDF files for every bag design. You now have two flexible options for labelling your bags:

  1. Print & Staple: Print the PDFs and staple the appropriate label directly to the bag.

  2. Hand-Write: If it’s faster for your flow, you can write the bag type directly onto the bag.

Please find the PDF printout sheets for the sticker in this folder
These will also be added to Hubwiki - Hub print out sections soon

Inventory Best Practices

To keep picking efficiently and your inventory accurate, please ensure you:

  • Label your Storage: Attach one printed copy of each design to the specific shelf or fridge where those bags are stored.

  • Scan with Ease: Having these "Master Labels" fixed to your storage areas ensures that items can be easily added to or removed from inventory during the picking process without having to hunt for a barcode.

Looking Ahead

We aren't just changing the labels, we're improving the contents! We will soon launch new Rescue Bag types designed to elevate the customer experience. Keep an eye out for more details on these new arrivals shortly.

🏗️ Coming Next Week: NL Sickness Flow Revamp

We’re streamlining how we handle sickness. Starting Wednesday, March 18th, we are moving away from Zendesk and bringing the entire process directly into the Hub Portal.

By moving this to the Workforce (WF) tab, we’re cutting out platform friction and making tracking much simpler. The portal will now automatically sync with Quinyx and flag if a report meets our policy requirements.

Key Change: Updated Notification Times

While the portal goes live next week, we want to highlight the updated Sick Calling Policy now. To ensure better shift coverage, the following requirements will be strictly enforced starting next Wednesday:

Shift Start Time

Notification Deadline

BEFORE 11:00 AM

Must notify by 10:00 PM the previous day

AT or AFTER 11:00 AM

Must notify by 9:00 AM the same day

Notifications will be sent to all Riders/OAs via email about the change; this also applies to OA+ and SL when calling in sick to the hub.

Shelf Changes Icon

Shelf Changes & De-listings

Shelf Changes

The shelf changes will be posted at 15:00 today and will go live tonight. Please move products to their new locations after closure or tomorrow morning. Don't forget the back stock!

In the shelf change output file, you will now find two additional columns: one showing the number of facings for the product being moved to the new shelf, and another indicating whether the product is stored as an HU. If the cell is blank, it means the product should be stored as an SU.

If you do not find your hub's file in the folders, it means there are no shelf changes for you this week.
