🚨 Reminder: Rescue Bag Variety

We want our Rescue Bags (Reddingstasje) to be a great experience for our customers, but we have recently received complaints about the lack of variety in the bags.

Customers are disappointed when they open a bag to find it filled with only one type of item (e.g., 5 bottles of the same sauce or just huge amounts of one vegetable).

Please follow these important principles when packing:

1. Think Like the Customer: Do Not Use too much of the same product.

  • The Goal: A "Rescue Bag" should feel like a lucky dip of groceries, not a stock clearance of a single item.

  • The Fix: Mix it up! A variety of items is much more valuable to the customer than bulk quantities of a single product.

2. Connect Products Where Possible. When selecting items, try to create a logic behind the bag.

  • If you include pasta, is there a sauce or vegetable near expiration that goes with it?

  • If you are packing a Bakery Bag, try to offer a mix of bread loaves and pastries rather than just 10 of the same bun.

3. Quick Refresher: What Goes In? To ensure quality control, please stick to the standard "Do's and Don'ts":

  • āœ… DO Include:

    • Products shortly before or on the last day of expiration.

    • Fruits and vegetables that don't look ideal but are still consumable.

    • Damaged packages where the product inside is still safe.

    • Bakery Specific: Freshly made bread is okay up to 1 day after its BBD.

  • ā›”ļø DO NOT Include:

    • Too much of the same product (Stock correction is not the goal here!).

    • Fresh products showing signs of rot or mould.

    • Non-food items, Alcohol, Pet, or Baby products.

    • Bakery Specific: Pastries with meat that are past their BBD.

Let’s turn those complaints into compliments by packing bags we would be happy to receive ourselves! šŸ›ļø

🧃 Restocking Reminder: Keep Shelves Full, Keep Picking Fast

Keeping our picking route fully stocked is one of the simplest ways to boost speed, accuracy, and picker satisfaction. When shelves are filled, and items are exactly where they should be, orders flow faster and smoother, and customers get the Flink experience they expect.

Here’s a refresher on how restocking works and why it’s essential for hub performance.

šŸ“² Where to Find Restocking Lists

Inventory → Restocking
You’ll see two lists:

  • Shared List: Visible to everyone; items are added during picking or stock checks when something needs restocking.

  • Private List: Only you can see it. This is where you manage your actual restocking tasks.

šŸ”„ How to Restock

  1. Select items from the Shared List.

  2. Tap ā€œAdd to private listā€.

  3. You’ll be redirected to your Private List: Start restocking.

You can also manually add items to the Private List by scanning a product/shelf or using the search bar.

šŸ“¦ Restocking Basics

  • Bring items from backstock to the front shelf.

  • Follow FIFO and match the number of facings shown in the app.

  • Tap each item when done to mark it as restocked.

  • If stock levels don’t match reality, adjust them directly in the restocking flow.

  • Always check backstock before assuming something is out.

A simple process with big impact, fast shelves mean fast picking! šŸ’Ŗ

šŸ“² Products with BBDs to check

We have some products that need to be checked due to having long BBD dates. Please check your stock.

Ticket Processing Update

Shelf changes are implemented only once per week. Typically, we review incoming tickets on Monday and Tuesday.

Therefore, if you submit a ticket on Wednesday and do not see an update by Friday, please note that it is not due to an oversight. The ticket is simply queued for the next processing cycle, as shelf changes and facings adjustments can only be executed once a week.

Exceptions are made only in cases of critical or urgent issues.

Shelf changes:

The shelf changes will be posted at 15:00 today and will go live tonight. Please move products to their new locations after closure or tomorrow morning. Don't forget the back stock!

In the shelf change output file, you will now find two additional columns: one showing the number of facings for the product being moved to the new shelf, and another indicating whether the product is stored as an HU. If the cell is blank, it means the product should be stored as an SU.

If you do not find your hub's file in the folders, it means there are no shelf changes for you this week.

For further info please read this article.
