Workforce App on Android - Navigation Issue

We're currently experiencing a navigation reliability issue in the Workforce app on Android devices.

Please remind riders using Android phones to double-check the route suggested in the app. In some cases, the app may direct them to the wrong location, such as the next order in the stack or the hub location, instead of the current delivery.

If this happens, riders should use the street address shown in the app and switch to an alternative navigation tool (e.g. Google Maps).

The team is actively working on a fix. We appreciate your patience and apologise for the inconvenience.

Next Day Orders are being picked manually too early

We've noticed that some next-day orders are being picked manually from HubPortal significantly in advance of their scheduled delivery window.

Why does this harm us?

  • It can lead to riders arriving before the customer is ready, often resulting in cancellations (i.e. rider cannot find customer).

  • Even when a delivery is successful, it can still create a negative experience for the customer by disrupting their plans.

šŸ‘‰šŸ½Please ensure that all next-day-delivery orders are picked and delivered in line with the agreed-upon delivery time, and not manually picked before.

šŸ‘‰šŸ½This way, we ensure a seamless experience for every customer, every time.

NEW Cooling sleeves for rolcontainers

To better manage the high volume of fresh roll containers, hubs will now receive cooling sleeves. These sleeves help maintain product quality by keeping temperatures stable, easing inbound processes, and improving efficiency.

Lekkerland will deliver roll containers already covered with sleeves. They open easily at the front for quick inbounding, while keeping three sides insulated. After use, simply fold the sleeve onto an empty roll container. Lekkerland will collect and reuse them in the next delivery.

Training: An Edume Guide will be shared with you on Wednesday, 20th, with a step-by-step walk-through and video demonstration.

Inventory Guardrails - GoLive Wednesday, 20 July

Starting tomorrow, we will introduce a new feature in HubOne to prevent accidental stock corrections and inbounds:

  • New warning pop-ups in HubOne in case of unusual stock corrections or inbounds

  • The warnings will appear for unusual stock corrections (quantity or € value) and high deviations in expected vs actual inbounds

  • If you see the pop-up, please double-check the stock movement you are doing, and confirm the action by typing in the amount you would like to correct/inbound in the text field.

Rider Swipes - Additional Restriction to Prevent Double Swipes - live for Android

>> Live for Android - iOS will be live in 2 weeks <<

We are releasing another change to the rider delivery flow in the WF App: there is now a 10-second timer after swiping ā€˜arrived’ until a rider can swipe ā€˜delivered’.

The goal of this change is to reduce double swipes, meaning riders swiping arrived and delivered within a few seconds after each other, as this leads to customer confusion, complaints, and inaccurate stats.

Riders should use the time between swiping arrived and delivered to unload the bags from the bike and make their way to the customer’s door. Only after the order has been handed over to the customer, should they swipe ā€˜delivered’.

After swiping 'delivered', the customer information is not available anymore.

Please make sure your riders have the latest WF App version and follow the process correctly.

Let’s keep the experience smooth and accurate for everyone! šŸ™

Stock Change Logs: Order ID replaced by Order Number - Go Live: Wednesday 20th

We’ve made a small but important update: stock change logs will now display the Order Number instead of the Order ID.

This change makes it much easier to track and check specific orders in the logs.

šŸ¤“Don’t forget the back stock! When moving products to their new shelf, always remember to check and reposition any backstock on the top shelves as well!

Read more about the different Hub Sizes here!

Why do we do shelf changes?

Shelf changes are primarily made to optimize product placement, such as moving items from an S to an XS shelf. This allows the shelves to be listed in more hubs than they currently are, expanding the assortment’s size across all hubs rather than concentrating it in only the larger L or XL hubs.

For example, by consolidating products on an S shelf, we can free up space on a relatively empty M shelf and streamline product placement from top to bottom.

This process will continue in the near future as we work to broaden our assortment. Expanding our assortment ultimately increases the potential basket size for customers.

If you notice products that don’t fit the shelves when following the facings, flag them via the ā€œFacings feedbackā€ option in Hub Alert.
