[INFO] New pension arrangement per 24 April for SL and 1 May for Hub Managers

E-commerce has now become a fully-fledged sector in the Netherlands. Working in e-commerce is not the same as working in a supermarket. The mandatory participation in the supermarket employee pension does not suit your E-commerce job. By continuing your employment with Flink 2 B.V., you can have a pension scheme that suits E-commerce. All other employment conditions will remain the same!

What’s changed

  • The basis for the pension at Flink 2 B.V. is that the expected pension is at least the same as the BPFL. This is assessed individually for everyone and can be found as of the 5th April in your SAP SF account. Although you can accrue the same pension, the premium for the new pension scheme at ASR Pension Fund is lower. This may reduce your personal contribution and, in turn, increase your net pay.

Actions and Deadlines

  • As an employee, you now have the choice between staying with the old BPFL pension scheme or switching to the new ASR pension with Flink 2 B.V.

  • If you decide to transfer, you can do so as of 24 April as a Shift Lead and per 1 May as a Hub Manager.

  • Please note, when your contract is renewed, you will automatically transfer to ASR's new pension for Flink B.V. 2.

[INFO] Salary Increase E-commerce CLA

  • As agreed upon in the E-Commerce CLA, salary scales will be increased yearly with 3% in May up until May 2024. On 31 March 2023, you have been informed by email about the salary increases that take place as of 24 April 2023 for Shift Leads and 1 May 2023 for Hub Managers.

  • Shift Leads who transitioned from the old Levensmiddelen CLA to the E-Commerce CLA on the 1st of March 2022 were placed directly in scale 5 already taking the 3% salary increase of May 2023 into account. This means since March 2022 the 3% salary increase is already implemented in the salary. The gross salary of €14,79 per hour, excluding holiday pay will remain the same until the 1st of May 2024.

[INFO] Inventory Flow - Fresh / Expensive / Low Stock Checks - Live Wed 05 Apr

What's changed

  • Frequency and logic of when checks are triggered.

  • HubOne --> Inventory Tab --> Stock checks:

    • Low Stock Checks; now 1 time per day at 15:00 (based on avg. daily sales), instead of throughout the day.

    • Extra Checks (theft prevention); Now 2-3 times per week instead of twice a day.

  • HubOne --> Inventory Tab –> Fresh Check; Now only certain fruits & vegetables (based on avg. duration of freshness) are required to be checked once per day, instead of all produce.

    • Fresh Check will be removed from Flowtify.

Key Benefits

  • Less work! (when the checks are being triggered has been changed, requiring less checks)

  • Less waste! (product specific checks are being triggered and shorter guidelines introduced resulting in less waste)

Actions and Deadlines

  • SL/OA watch videos 2 min stock checks & 5 min fresh checks : ENG, NLD

  • OAs to complete urgent checks at the top of the list immediately, top priority checks on the same day and low priority when there is time

[INFO / ACTION] External Riders - Temper Transition

What's changed

  • Since last week we started transitioning from two external providers to only one, that means we'll phase out YoungOnes in the upcoming weeks and Temper will be the only platform used for external riders moving forward.

Key Benefits

  • Main goal is to migrate 100% of our external riders hours to Temper until April 23rd.

To help with the transition, we'll host 3 training sessions for HMs/SLs this week, where the Temper team will walk you through main features on their platform and share some useful tips as well.

The training sessions will be:

  • 5/Apr (Wednesday) at 10am

  • 6/Apr (Thursday) at 4pm

  • 7/Apr (Friday) at 11am

Invites will follow, please confirm your participation for the session that better suits your schedule.

With this transition we expect to better optimize our external riders costs and also improve the operational side, guaranteeing that external fleet management is as smooth as possible for everyone.

[INFO] Rider Acceptance Time Reduction - Live Wed 05 Apr

What's changed

  • In the Workforce App, once a rider is offered a trip, the rider will have 60 seconds to accept an order instead of 90 seconds.

Key Benefits

  • Faster customer deliveries do not jeopardize safety as the rider just needs to accept orders offered faster and does not need to deliver faster.

Actions and Deadlines

  • Shift Lead to continue to remind riders to turn on notifications so they don't miss orders.

  • Shift lead to remember that if the rider misses 4-10 trips, the rider will be put offline and the shift lead will need to put them back online via hub portal.
