[Go-Live] On-trip compliance A/B test 🚲
The A/B test for on-trip compliance has been running since last week. This means that the riders are divided into two groups: Half are not taking part in the test, while the other half are involved. The participating riders see the remaining travel time to the customer highlighted in color in the Workforce app. There are three different levels:
🟢 On time: The rider is well on time and will arrive at the customer on time
🟡 Time is running out: The Rider has already reached 80% of its estimated journey time and will probably be slightly late
🔴 Delayed: The promised delivery time for the customer has been exceeded, the delivery is late
For the test to be successful, it is important that all riders have downloaded the latest version of the Workforce app. Please collect sufficient feedback from your riders. We will share a survey on the new feature with you soon.
[Update] New S-Containers - The time has come in week 6 🛍️
In calendar week 6, new S-Containers will be sent to all hubs in Germany. The new S-Containers have the following advantages:
Carrying strap: Thanks to the carrying strap, the order can now be carried on the shoulder
QR code on the strap: By placing the QR code on the strap, easy scanning is possible during the handover process
New closure: The container comes with a quick-closing lid
Note: Further information will follow in the newsletter in CW 05
[Go-Live] Inbound everything - Book in all Flink products
As of Wednesday, every SKU that is available in our Flink catalog can be booked in via the EAN scan - even if it is not assigned to the hub.
Products that are not assigned to your hub will receive the shelf number 999X during inbound processing
This means that errors can only occur due to two problems:
The product is not in our Flink catalog
There is an error in the master data
ToDos in your hub:
Create your own 999X shelf space (for dry, chilled and frozen products if possible).
Use the space available to you as efficiently as possible, as this is not a planned regular shelf.
All unassigned products or products with no shelf assignment are placed on this shelf.
Note: If you still receive a product that cannot be found in the app or see this error message during inbounding, please create a Hub Alert ticket as before:
Note: This does not change which products are ordered for the hub, it just changes the process after they arrive.
Fleet Updates

[Info] Tense bike situation - what can help 🚲
In some regions, especially in the north and Berlin, the bike situation is very tense.
This is because the service partners (especially CYCLE) have had problems with the delivery of spare parts and some of the staff have been absent due to illness. As a result, a considerable backlog of repairs has accumulated.
We are doing our best to get the situation under control as quickly as possible and are in constant communication with CYCLE and Smartvelo. We're making good progress, but we're not out of the woods yet.
What helps:
Damage reporting
Our service partners' mechanics prioritize their visits according to the damage reports. Old reports that have already been repaired according to the service partner are not taken into account. The mechanics can only prioritize their visits correctly if the fleet tool reflects the actual situation in the hub.
The mechanics can repair your fleet much faster if they know exactly where the problems are. They use the damage reports to bring the right spare parts: The more they know in advance, the better they can plan their visit.
Immediate reporting of damage is not only important for planning maintenance visits, but also because we use this data to compare the performance of different bike suppliers. If we do not have this information, we cannot enforce contractual agreements on the availability of bikes. Such negotiations are only possible if the data is correct, which means that the damage reports must be set to "repaired" / "fixed" as soon as the mechanic has repaired the bike.
Space in the hub
Flink is contractually obliged to provide mechanics with sufficient space to repair bikes. This is particularly necessary in the colder seasons and in bad weather, when the mechanics prefer to work in the hub.
It is also in Flink's interest that the bikes can be repaired in a comfortable environment for the mechanic. Not only because this improves the quality of the repair, but also because we want to guarantee our business partners a good working environment.
Therefore, please make sure that there is enough space in your hub to repair bikes when a mechanic is visiting. It is the Hub's job to provide this space.
Tidiness
The mechanics can use their time much more efficiently if there is order and, ideally, defective bikes are stored separately from working bikes.
This means that damage can be found much more quickly and work can begin.
In extreme cases, this can save the mechanic up to an hour of effective working time. At the end of the day, this also helps us, as he will hopefully get a few bikes repaired in that hour. And quite apart from that, we create a better working environment for our riders and mechanics.

[Insight/Action] Rewe temperature loggers
Hi all, in order to guarantee a safe supply chain, Rewe is doing spot checks on their cooling chain by putting so-called temperature loggers into frozen, meat or fresh rollis/containers. Below you can find a picture of how they look. Please watch out for the loggers and if you find any, return them to the driver with the same or next delivery!
Please reach out in case of any questions on this topic.
Best,
Your SCM team 🙂

[Info] Work and food safety in the hubs - you should pay attention to this 🦺
It is very important to observe the following requirements for official inspections and work and food safety in the hubs:
Escape and rescue routes: Escape and rescue routes must be kept clear at all times
Escape and rescue plan: In each hub, an escape and rescue plan must be visibly displayed
Lithium-ion batteries: Lithium-ion batteries must be located either in the bikes or in the battery charging cabinet. No batteries may be charged or stored outside the safety cabinet.
Electrics: Extension cables must not be connected to an extension cable. Only one refrigerator may be connected to each extension cable.
Storage: The refrigerators in the picking course and in the staff kitchens must be kept clean.
Pest reporting: Pest infestations in the hubs must be reported immediately to the #work-food-safety-support channel.
Block rodent hiding places: Rodent hiding places can be blocked. To do this, use steel wool, which you insert into all openings in the hubs. Especially for freezers.

the sheets are, as mentioned above, Hub specific. So only the sheet named with your hub code counts;
"SKU" you can find a the SKU which needs to be moved to another shelf space;
"oldShelf" - 4th column: If the cell is empty, we just assigned this product to your Hub, so please just store it in the shelf mentioned in "new shelf";

if both "shelf" and "newShelf" have a shelf number, it's a normal shelf change.
